Oregon has no state-specific biohazard-cleanup license. Most states, including Oregon, do not license crime-scene or biohazard cleanup as a distinct trade. That doesn't mean anything goes: any company doing this work must comply with the federal OSHA bloodborne pathogens standard (29 CFR 1910.1030) — employee training, PPE, exposure control plans — and must dispose of biohazardous waste through a permitted medical-waste channel.
When hiring in Oregon, ask for: proof of OSHA bloodborne-pathogen training, general liability insurance, EPA-registered disinfectants, and the name of the licensed medical-waste hauler they use.
